Recently, I’ve been using a minimal palette — two or three colors. It allows me to experiment with the subtleties of values and color temperatures and brings a visual consistency to each painting. I have a few subject matters that I’m currently working with — each conveying experiences I have on the Golden Isles of Georgia.

Although a realist, I want my works to express feelings rather than trying to replicate scenes or beings. Every subject I explore with paint is a moment or an image that resonates with me. My goal is to continue to grow technically and create art that gives the viewer an experience of what I see and feel, and hopefully, for that moment in time, be captivated by the wonders that surround us here every day.
